What’s up in your life?

Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Youth, ages 11-18

Parents of Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Youth, ages 5-10

The Seattle Quality of Life Group is looking for deaf or hard of hearing youth, ages 11-18, and parents of deaf or hard of hearing youth, ages 5 -10, to be in a research study.  In our research study we want to find out about how you or your child think and feel about things in your life or your child’s life.

You will be asked to talk with one of our researchers about how your (or your child’s) life is going and how being deaf or hard of hearing makes it better or worse.  You may also be asked to talk about what other youth or children who are deaf or hard of hearing have said about their lives.

The meeting will may take place at our offices in Fremont, Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center, or WSD in Vancouver on a day and time that is good for you and the researcher.  It will take about 60 minutes. Taking part in the study is your choice and the things that you tell us will be kept private.

If you take part in this study, you will be sent $25 as a thank you

for your time and effort.
