The new Superintendent is Todd Reeves.
Washington School for the Deaf still provides post production captioning of viceo tapes and real-time captioning of conferences, meetings, and live broadcasts over the WIT system (Washington Interactive Television).
WSD offers open and closed captioning services and offers a special rate to government agencies and non-profits.
WSD was the first captioning service in the Northwest, offering captioning services beginning in 1984. WSD takes into consideration reading levels of intended audience while doing post-production captioning.
